last summer adventure
The kiddos and I headed down to Madison to visit Elisabeth and company. We spent two nights and the boys were asking to move in by the time we left. Every kid should have an Aunt Lis!! They are so in love with her, it almost makes me jealous! We ate out, swam, rode bikes, went to the museum (again!), toystore and bookstore. I also had a great time.... spending time with Elisabeth is always fun. I always leave her feeling a little more inspired to be hip and act young! Thanks, Lis for a great time.... even though I have dog hair all over my stuff! Ha!!

future photographers
This is what I found on my camera recently. I don't even know where I was when all this madness occurred. Scary, huh?

chicken livers at tequilas
Life with my boys is never boring!! We headed to Oxford to run a few errands and get school supplies. Garrison chose Mexican food for lunch. The boys love to order their own meals. Garrison placed his "Orange rice" order and then Elliott did the same. I ordered my meal, then Elliott decided to add something to his order..... He looked very serious and told the waiter he want some fried chicken livers!! The poor waiter....remember, Mexican restaurant.....looked very confused! Elliott then repeated the request and cracked up this time. This child is a comedian at four!! I'm worried.....

camp gray
After much discussion, we decided not to take a family vacation this year. We decided that between the oil and the economy, we would be better off skipping our usual beach trip. Just as we decided... no vacation.... we both read in an insert in our church bulletin one Sunday an article about how important family vacations are. Well, plan B was quickly formulated. We took a vacation close to home and saved a lot of money, time, stress, etc. We spent two nights in a cabin at John Kyle state park. We had a "blast" as Elliott told me this am. We played in the water behind our cabin, rode bikes, fished, rode in the boat, went to the pool, ate junk food, and just had a wonderful time! Thanks to James Dobson's little article, we had a great vacation and made many fun family memories for all!

ice cream party
Thursday at church the kids played games and ate banana splits. This is the boys eating ice cream without using their hands! They had so much fun racing against their friends to see who could eat it the fastest.

Garrison
Garrison has loved snakes since he was two! He keeps asking how old he has to be before he can have a pet one! I don't know if I will ever be ready for that!!!!
